Job Position: Investor Relations – Associate

Location: New York, NY

Red Stone Equity Partners, a high quality financial services company, is a fast growing firm in the multifamily real estate industry specializing in low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) equity investments. The firm seeks a professional to complement and support its investor relations team. The Associate will provide transaction and analytical support related to the solicitation and closing of the firm’s LIHTC equity investments to its institutional clients.

His/her responsibilities will include:

  • Review Investment Summaries to ensure consistency between underlying underwriting documents and transaction projections;
  • Assist with the management of the sale process to investor;
  • Work with the Acquisition Team to prepare and reconcile investor specific real estate analysis;
  • Work with the Acquisition Team to review and deliver investor closing diligence items;
  • Assist in the coordination of responses to investor questions and issues;
  • Assist in the preparation for property- level investor site visit;
  • Assist in the preparation for investor meetings including frequently updating the investor pitch book;
  • Assist in the preparation of initial fund summaries/projections;
  • Assist with the drafting of closing documentation with investors; and
  • Assist with other special projects as needed;

Job Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Undergraduate degree from a 4 year college/university, with a preference of a BS in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate or Urban Planning; further preference of experience with real estate underwriting;
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of working experience in affordable housing development or finance;
  • Proficiency in Excel required;
  • Knowledge of real estate terminology and concepts preferred; basic knowledge of LIHTC and/or community development lending required;
  • Strong financial, relationship management, and communication skills (written and verbal);
  • Outstanding analytic and organizational skills, a high degree of intellectual curiosity;
